I've seen so many people who are shamed for not sticking to a single design for their OC, so imma defend them for a second <--- Look at this beautiful example I quickly drew my oldest and newest design for my current OC, using the same style and level of quality and time on each of them. One looks a lot more... amatuerish compared to the other. Just chance? I think not! Designs make a big impact on how a character is percieved, and some characters look good in some styles and bad in others. When your style changes, you should consider changing a ref too! (Can't tell you how many times I've tried to accomodate a ref that simply won't work) When you learn more about designing characters, consider changing a ref! Guys, changing refs somewhat often, even 5+ times a year isn't an issue, it's actually pretty smart. Still on hiatus btw
