I just wanna draw humans… not this slop! For context, I’m trying to learn how to draw human anatomy and uh… it could be going a BIT better. In the screenshot, I’m trying to draw the torso and a few days ago, I tried simplifying the body into simple shapes, like boxes. I then drew simple shapes to draw arms around it. Once the mannequin was complete, I just drew the human, where ever I thought the muscles would be and then it did NOT look humanoid like at all. I’m learning a way to make the torso into more complex shapes so then I can properly add the muscles and therefore, make it look like an actual human.
(Read top first.) The problem with complex shapes, I need to draw in perspective AND draw all these funky ehh shapes which is NOT easy if you think it’s easy. Also, this is just the torso, I also need to learn how to draw the head properly, and also learn how to draw arm and legs too from just mannequins. Art is fun but like… this ain’t fun. I have heard that drawing arm/leg muscles are easier than drawing the torso, though. I just realized… genders exist and they have different anatomy (in terms of muscles.) See y’all in 10 years where I can actually draw humans correctly! (Also, I’m aware that you don’t need to learn EVERY muscle, mainly just the major ones.)
