my hair twists and sways in the tufts of wind, accompanied by the pitter-patter of the footsteps around me. people rushing to get to their destination, trying to catch some rest or use these final hours of the day. because, sooner than ever, tomorrow will come. clinging on to a wooden bench, i simply observe this all. for me, i'd rather stay still, simply noticing; taking in the beauty of this world, until the day again begins, until the sun blooms once again. but, maybe because of the lack of doing, in the moonlight, i ponder, what tomorrow brings. i think, embracing the twinkling stars, watching as they seem to pass by, the cold breeze keeping me awake. what makes people so excited about the future? is it the promise of a better day, a false utopia? or is the possibility that you could spend another day at all? what keeps us tossing and tumbling in bed all night? whether excited, nervous, or stressed, we all await tomorrow. and as i listen to the quiet sounds of nature, i can't help but wonder, why? tomorrow, another day, what makes it so intriguing? what makes us so impatient? and as the hours slip away, i realize, under the light of the moon, tired yet still glowing, that, tomorrow is more than just another day, it's a promise. it's a promise that isn't fully true yet. a promise of something else, of something that can still be changed, a bit of uncertainty in this predictable world. tomorrow, unfated, but still a glimpse of hope. and as the clock ticks midnight, i leave the worn out bench, understanding now more than anything i could have observed, tomorrow.
