Should I continue spirits of the woods? I honestly felt like no one really liked it so I stopped writing it. But I could write another story! I started one based off of an oc I co-own with @ellieartworks :3 if I get enough people saying they want it continued, I will keep writing it. if not, I could maybe post a new one??? Prologue and chapter one of my newest story below :D
Hello little one, what can I do for you? A story? Okay. Get comfy. This tale is one of love and sorrow. This tale, has depth. Up above, higher than any cat can see, live the lightwalkers. They are in charge of all things life. The sun, the plants, the water. They are the divine ones. But far, far below, live the shadowwalkers. They are responsible for the world's plagues and diseases. They are the demons. The light and shadow do not get along. They have been at war for thousands of years, so long they have forgotten why. But two beings, one light, and one shadow, snuck out one night. And they fell in love. They would meet up by a pool of water, black as night and reflecting the moon on its surface. The light Walker was royal. The shadow walker was peasant. But here, their roles didn't matter. They had a kit. A perfect balance of both kingdoms. The light and the dark. The sun and the moon. But the shadow walkers and lightwalkers grew angry. They disapproved of the couple. The lightwalkers claimed the kit, while the shadow walkers claimed the lovers. The family was torn to pieces. The kit's name? Her name, was Frost. * * * * * * I roamed the palace. Ugh. Why does everyone have to look at me like that? It's not like I'm gonna bite them! Well. As long as they don't provoke me I won't. I walk outside and take off. It feels better to be flying. I soar up to my favorite cloud and land with a thud. GOSH DANG IT! Nimbus and her posse are waiting for me. UGH! Why is she SO annoying! "Well well well! look who finally showed up!" she laughs her awful, shrill laugh. "Why are you here, Nimbus. You know this is my spot." "it IS? I had no idea. Well, we're here now, so if you want it, you'll have to fight us for it." She smirks with an evil look in her eyes. She knows I won't. It's not like I'm scared. I could easily beat her. But if I get into a fight, people are just gonna treat me WORSE. I growl and force myself to sheath my claws. "Aww! Is little kitty scared? aw, what a shame!" her posse cackles like hyenas. Before I can stop myself, I'm flying at her in a whirl of fury. I swoop up just before I reach her to avoid colliding with her. She shrieks and tumbles away, her tail poofed out and ears pinned to the side of her head. "What's the matter, Nimbus? Never seen a cat fly before? Oh wait. YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING BEFORE." I zoom off with my fur billowing and crackling with anger. Nimbus gazes after me in disbelief with her sightless eyes. I feel a pang of regret as I fly away. I know it's not her fault she's a brat. Life's probably hard for her. After all, she's blind.
