I forgot to mention something when it comes to JasLines, they are also an experimental company when it comes to locomotive engineering. Aside from helping people live a life they want to live, they have this program dedicated to experimental locomotives... one of them being an idea, 'can a locomotive operate efficiently on one set of wheels?'. Turns out, yes and no, see one set of wheels isn't enough for support, traction, speed, and worthy operation. However did that stop JasLines? No. Instead it motivated them. I present to you the OS Locomotive. The OS, or number 77, is one of two experimental locomotives that the JasLines made in 2026 for the JMR. Number 77 was made as a test of engineering genius, as this locomotive can indeed pull trains, ofc small trains so it can only really shunt, it can climb most of the hills of the JMR, it can break rather quickly. Here's how, inside the OS, there is a gyroscope balance system that applies weights and counter weights, when the crew gets on board, it applies counter weights to keep the locomotive balance, the adjustments of this system are so precise it is only noticeable by the millimeter. Then the mechanics, this locomotive is very light, as it needs the system of the gyroscope for balance, however, if you look in the chassis it is there and it is pretty small. As for power, this locomotive has to be a long burner, so instead of traditional coal, it uses oil, and oil burner, this allows the OS to be more efficient and able to move effectively. FUN FACT, number 77 actually got a pardon from the mayor for it's creativity and style. Another fun fact, the OS is meant to tip a little forward when pulling a train, or backward depending on which side is faced away from the train. This allows for adequate breaking.
Friendlies, and to those that experiment on their own questions.
