“Stupid toaster-bot-things. I don’t care what they are…” alen mutters, rubbing their wrist while walking with their boot on. The wildlife around them runs away, scared of the loud footsteps and aura of alen. “I need to find a city- wait is that what mortals call it?” Alen says, pausing their hobble. “Yeah probably, I know that’s that they called them anyway.” Alen says continuing their hobble through the woods, “Well, first I need to find somewhere to live, then a job, then I need to blend in with the mortals.” Alen sighs, not wanting to figure out what to do with their life. A Copperhead “stands” up, flicking its tongue. “Oh hello. you are gorgeous.” Alen says crouching in front of the Copperhead. They reach out to touch the Copperhead. The copperhead slithers up Alen’s arm, “See? You are a wonderful creature, I don’t see why people are scared of you.” Alen says, gently rubbing the snake's head. After a few minutes, Alen puts the Copperhead down and watches as it goes to look for food. They continue to hobble through the woods, stumbling into a few more critters on the way. Eventually Alen finds a lake, full of creatures that don’t care about much of anything. They sit, not wanting to return to that place that was home to the toasters.
