Evocation: The Notion!

Evocation, also called Invocation or Conjuration (within the context of the omega mythos), is a powerful tool first originating from hyperology. Often represented with the yarnball, Evocation is the ultimate "what if I meant it for real?" button. Instead of treating an idea as a mere thought experiment or fictional abstraction, you forcefully act and speak as if it is physically happening right in front of you in actual reality. Within SuperHyperology (sHO), it is a specialized thought mechanism specifically operating at SL3 where abstract concepts, hypothetical scenarios, or narrative layers are deliberately activated and treated with the ontological weight of being genuinely actualized in Mundane Reality (MRL). It bypasses standard abstract representation through a conscious suspension of disbelief and performative linguistic rituals. SL3, for context, is where we talk about ideas and evoke them as if they were genuinely in MRL in front of you. Even if we know we can’t, we don’t care; we suspend our disbelief into fully believing we can because we evoked that idea. Inshort it's basically deliberate 4th-wall breaking where natural language eats itself and impossible concepts are treated as actualized in MRL. For reference: SL0 (Total Preconceptual Nominalism) is where nothing is taken for granted; no abstract forms or rules exist (like cavemen or raw physical objects without labels). SL1 (Pure Formalization) contains absolute logic and formal systems where everything reduces to basic axiomatic code (science, analytic philosophy, formal set theory). SL2 (Groundless Contextualization) contains natural language and philosophical discourse where formal rules run out and fuzzy, non-absolute context takes over. Anything past SL3, which are SL4 & SL5+ (Actuality Hacking), is the point where we enter complete degeneration of formality into social rituals and direct reality-cheating, where the distinction between describing a concept and performing it vanishes. This is why we collapse SL3+ concepts back into SL3 in order for us to be able to describe them In the context of powerscaling, evocation allows characters, abilities, or cosmological tiers to bypass the traditional weakness of being "just theoretical or narrative constructs." By invoking a concept with SL3+ evocation, its properties are treated as genuinely actualized in reality, meaning opponent defenses cannot dismiss them as mere fiction or abstract conceptualization. We can also bypass all notions of absolutism by evoking something past absolution, allowing post absolute infinity values and entities to exist genuinely and legitimately within SL3 In the context of the omega mythos, it functions similarly to hyperological evocation, albiet we can also apply it to character analysis to treat it within yarn i.e. to fully evoke the analysis as if it were a real, genuine thing within mundane reality. An example of how such an analysis would work is for the all consumer, where the analysis is treated within yarnball and hence must be evoked into genuine mundane reality as a whole in order to get the full picture
