I’d come home from school crying hoping you’d be there to comfort me. You were there I’d have nightmares at midnight, and hoped you would hear me You did. When I was feeling anxious her having an episode You were there When I was at my worst and no one cared, You were there I had hoped that you would sit there on my lap like you always did when I heard the yelling, doors slamming and my parents disagreeing on everything. You did. I had hoped you would listen whenever I just needed to vent You did. I was worried, and terrified when mom and dad locked you inside of the basement I heard you meowing and scratching at the door. I wanted to save you. I wanted to help the only friend I had. I was scared that you would starve to death in there You didn’t starve You p#isoned yourself when you ate a rat… And you d!ed. I was with you in your final moments, holding you, crying. I’ll never forgive my parents for what they did to you.
