Riju's POV: The next night was surprisingly similer. I took a walk down to the bakery, and on my way back, I saw Mason coming. He stopped when we met eye. "Hello again....Riju...right?" "Yes. I believe it was....Mason?" "Yes. I'm sorry I was in a hurry last night." "That's okay. But....how come you always carry that sword with you?" "Because of Lynals." "Lynals?! Here!" "Yes. You see there is a gold lynal in the field just out of town. We always try to chase it away so it won't come into town, but it sure is a tough fight. But defeating it won't do anything because every blood moon, it just comes back to life again. It used to be a white maned. But with every other blood moon, it becomes more powerful and dangerous." I started into Mason's deep green eyes. "Oh, forgive me, I didn't mean to talk on and on, I'm sure you know how blood moons work." He gave a small laugh, and I smiled. "Would you like to get a cup of coffee?" "Coffee? What is that?" "You've never had it before? Doesn't anyone in Gerudo town have coffee beans?" "No, I've never heard of it." "Well, there's a first time for everything! Let's go!" "I giggled, and followed him to a shop across from the hotel. "Hello there!" "Hello. Can we get two coffees? One with some sugar?" "Sure! Go take a seat, and it'll be out soon!" "Thank you." I followed Mason to a table, and he smiled at me. "How's this?" "Oh fine!" The waiter brought a mug to each of us. I looked into it. THere was a brown liquid, sort of caramel, maybe a little darker. It smelled bitter, but interesting. I lifted the mug to my mouth and took a sip. The heat nearly burned my toungue, and the flavor was somewhat bitter. "I put some sugar in yours. Hopefully it sweetened it, coffee can be bitter." I smiled, and managed down another sip. I wouldn't say it was better than a noble pursuit, but I would hate to say anything to Mason, so I just keep drinking it... A while later, it was dark out, and the cafe clock said 10:07pm. "Uh Mason, I really have to be going now." "I see." He stood up and escorted me to the door. "If you are heading back to the hotel, I'll be right with you." "Ok." I walked out the door, and waited for a moment. I couldn't tell what I thought of Mason, He was incredibly brave. And he seemed to act strangely around me. Somewhat shy. It made me wonder...was he in love with me?
