So.. I continued!!!!!!!!!! SO MANY CHANGES AND MASSIVE CORE CHANGES SO I HAD TO REPOST!!!!!!! pls continue to report bugs in comments thanks to --> @MentalBox This is super impressive but there a few fatal flaws if you're shooting for genesis/mania accuracy. Sonic has no foot width here. He stands with a single point, this means he cannot balance on ledges. Second, sonic rotates at his center of mass, but this engine rotates sonic at the feet. These are similar issues to what GSE faces. For more info, I'd highly recommend checking the sonic physics guide from sonic retro. 2. So far it does look and feel a lot better. I'd say a couple things, when jumping or falling into a floor against a wall, sometimes the physics treats it like a slope. Sometimes the physics also wants to treat non-right angle ledges as curves to run around and it may effect the launch trajectory. The classic games had this issue too and fixed it with special level triggers. Save that for the object engine. Finally the foot width is still just a tad small and there's weird clipping on the edges. ^ | | BIG HELP
updates: v• Improved jump physics so it's less floaty. •Fixed the weird ground shaking while walking. • Fixed 90 degree corners being treated like slopes. • Improved foot width for Sonic and Tails. • Fixed some clipping when landing on platform edges. • Improved collision accuracy without changing the overall feel.
