Department of Anomalous Activity DAA The Department of Anomalous Activity was founded in 2190, as the anomalous arm of the NIA. Spanning a network of large facilities across the northern regions of earth. The DAA's doctrine, is the exploitation of anomalous objects, and the destruction of objects deemed too dangerous to safely use effectively. The DAA consists of several subunits, which make up the following: Research Department Section 5 (tasked with producing engineered hardware, usually anomalous, for the organization) SOCRATES (Super-Optimized Cognitive Reasoning and Anomalous Threat Evaluation System) Anomalous Object Seizure and Strike Group, Special Activites Center Due to the corporate nature, combined with the large amount of funding that the mother agency possesses, DAA enjoys advanced technology, sometimes paired with paratech, to greatly improve the efficeny of the organization. Members of the strike teams, from SAC, are equipped with experimental M5 armor. The M5 is the most advanced suit of armor that the DAA currently has, in use, and allows agents greater durability, stregenth, and an advanced HUD, that allows wearers to "see" through some solid objects, map out locations, among other abilties. After the purging of many anomalous organizations by the SCP Foundation, the Department has become one of the most powerful anomalous organizations, besides the SCP Foundation.
