✦ ┆ Meeting Fox ! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ★ As a new employee of the Hoof Prints Community Barn, I am going to be working with some new ponies! One of the three I have been assigned is Foxchaser, aka Fox! ★ I found him in his stall, and brought him to the wash stall. I used a halter from home - my own handmade one - and the color did NOT really match him, so I'll have to get a different color next time. Since he was in his stall, he was really clean, so I just gave him a small brush off and then brought his tack out ★ After tacking him up - and realizing I haven't lifted a western saddle in years - I brought him to the round pen for some lunging. With watching him lunge, I could see how he moved, which gave me a idea of what to expect when I rode him ★ In the arena, I put on his bridle, and hopped on. Once again, the feel of the western saddle was a little funny, but I quickly got used to it. We walked, trotted, and cantered both ways around the arena - he was very smooth with his movements, and I was impressed! After going around, we had a change of rein, and he had SUCH a smooth roll-back, I was impressed! ★ After we did our riding, I got him his evening grain and brushed down all the dust from the arena off him while he ate. He cleaned out his bowl fast - impressive, really - and then I put him back in his stall. I'm excited to be riding this horse for the coming weeks <3 ★ Credits ★ @sealifefriend for Fox @spockadoo for the halter @-TheConjuring for the rider @Stxrry-Nightz- for the tack, indoor arena, Stall, Feed room @ghostsonqs for the round pen
