Alright, our military is pretty simple. Since we have less manpower, our soldiers are trained in defense over offensives, these people are taught about all defensible terrain we can make use of, and they will use it to the utmost to ensure any invasion of our homeland doesn't succeed. Our primary uniforms utilize a simple olive, drab coloring for ease of production and the ability to stay hidden within woodland regions, at least better than a bright gray would be or something. Helmets are often times going to be simple steel helmets but in cases where steel isn't very common, we can use alternative materials that are tough as helmet materials. Boots are a standard size with very little deviation, and they are basic leather with interchangeable pieces for ease of production and repair. Webbing is provided for soldiers to carry around extra magazines instead of having to keep them in their pack where they would take extra space. Field Jackets are provided in the Appalachian region specifically, elsewhere they are often seen as unnecessary due to the lack of cold weather anywhere else. To identify different regiments, there is a simple identifier on the Arm that bears the Seal of the state they are from. Above the Identifier is their rank insignia which keeps the rank insignias from the old, united states. Now for guns, every soldier will have a basic service rifle like the M16, but every group of soldiers will have one LMG that they can share amongst themselves to aid in the defense of their sector or help with any offensives they go on. There will also be a Machine gunner that has a far more heavy-duty machine gun, these people receive special training to use their Machine gun that a regular soldier doesn't need to use the LMG. Specialists and Officers receive a handgun; a handgun is not provided to regular Infantry due to the production costs of supplying them to every single soldier and they simply don't need one. Every group will also be given an Anti-Tank Weapon in order to counter any armor that may throw at them by our enemies, it won't be enough to destroy a whole tank on its own unless it hits the ammo dump. The real goal is to just force the tank to surrender or blow a hole into the armor that allows traditional fire to make it through. Everyone gets a hand radio and an iron sight for their service rifle. Now, we are also proud of our southern heritage, but we don't use the Grays that the old South used for their army, outside of Ceremonies. Ceremonial Dress Clothes will use the old Confederate Uniform Style to keep us connected to our southern heritage. Minority Regiments use the same as the regular regiments, just kept segregated. Women's Uniforms are adapted to the job they are doing for support. All soldiers receive a bag with a sleeping bag, weather protection, canteen, rations. Field Rations are simple cans of food meant to be for on the go eating. Garrison troops get a traditional 3 course meal in the Canteen with all their comrades. Soldiers can buy extra if they wish. There are several base amenities that are provided like recreation, sleeping areas, education facilities, things like that to allow the soldiers to almost get a taste of home while in the base.
I will get into how we produce all of this in a bit @AOEplayer2 for the CSA ball
