Nothing lasts. ❞」▣ ⊱┊ Squirrelstar and Riverspirit never expected to have another litter. Not after everything that happened with the first one… and they were far too old for another by now, weren’t they? However, one fateful day, that was about to change. Riverspirit had been on a simple stroll along the territory the bordered the unclaimed forests when she saw them. Four little kits, curled under the fitful protection of a small tree. And she did something quite unusual for the Spirit. She took pity on them. 〗˚₊· ⊱┊ And so, welcome to the Flutters of a Fading Forest, Riverspirit and Squirrelstar’s second and final litter! ▣ 「❝ Still, a flicker. As well as being a selective litter, this project aims to spread a bit of awareness about endangered animals, specifically the many endangered birds of New Zealand. About the Parents ❥· ͟͟͞͞➳₊˚ ·₊˚〖 Riverspirit 〗˚₊· ⊱┊ Pronouns: She/all ⊱┊ Parental nicknames: Mother, ma, mama, mom ⊱┊ Parenting style: Riverspirit’s approach to parenting has changed drastically since her first litter, with both age and experience influencing how she handles it now. She still refuses to play favorites with her kits, and will view them all the same, but if they do not put in equal effort, she will grow to resent those who lag behind. Riverspirit is extremely devoted to Urchinclan and the Dark Forest, and expects her kits to follow in her pawsteps. Being her kits will not save them from the fate that awaits them if they fail to do so. Unlike with her previous kits, she will be quite clear about this from the start. If her kits manage to meet these expectations, she is a loving and supportive parent. ..If not, he will be considerably more cold. Riverspirit will raise these kits with a firm focus on the “You can get away with anything, if you can back it up” mentality, and will encourage them to strive for ambitious goals. ⊱┊ It is likely that Riverspirit will die before the kits reach adulthood, but she is more than happy to try and stick a paw in their affairs by dreamvisiting from the dark forest. ·₊˚〖 Squirrelstar 〗˚₊· ⊱┊ Pronouns: She/her ⊱┊ Parental nicknames: Ma, mama, mom, fufu ⊱┊ Parenting style: Due to her current mental state, lingering grief, and overall busyness, Squirrelstar would be quite the absent mother. She wouldn't visit her kits often, only speaking to them if they came to her first. She tends to avoid them, scared that they will end up like Ivypaw or Puritypaw because of her. Though, if prompted, she could be quite caring, wanting her kits to be strong none-the-less. ▣ 「❝ The second, a playful spirit of mischief.
