The South was never famous for their industry, well... famous. They had a lot of industries due to the South being "right to work" states before the war, meaning that companies could pay less if they built factories in the south. We intend to revitalize these industries, firstly, we revive the Right to Work laws, banning these Union Security agreements. This is to encourage Entrepreneurs and Companies to open up new factories in the South to build up our Industrial power. Factories that already exist are auctioned off to Companies to make some extra money now and more value when the companies reopen the factories they buy. Unions are allowed to exist, but the Right to Work laws limit their abilities to lobby for increased pay and things like that. It may be a little messed up, but it's not like the workers are getting paid nothing, they still get decent pay and they get a job, what more could they want. These Industries will be lumped into two groups, civilian and military. Civilian Industries will focus on producing electronic parts, civilian goods, clothing, anything that the average citizen needs or wants in their daily life. Military Factories produce the tools of war, like tanks, artillery, guns, grenades, uniforms, all that. We intend for there to be a 60-40 ratio of these, that means 60 percent military factories and 40 percent civilian. Farming, Fishing and other industries are also kept around. Farming is the backbone of the south and we intend to keep it, in flatland regions, farms will be able to run rampant. Though, we do assign specific zones of the country for Agriculture, outside of that we don't want farms to exist. Unless the farmer applies for their farm to be protected, which they may get on the condition that they accept selling their crop to the government for export or selling across the country. Areas along the coast will have large tourism and fishing industries that we intend to push for, as it provides variety. The Appalachian Regions will develop some farms and mining industries. Everywhere else will be Farmland or regular Factories.
