generally i think its good and sound advice to follow the “3 month rule” before starting a big shrine with your fav character so my main interest is eltingville admittedly i did own a small collection of bill stuff within a month, but the thing is i tend to do that a lot with any fandom i get into. i think its fine to make small things for small interests. for example, i’m currently very into south park right now but despite that i only have a couple pieces of merch cuz i’m unsure if this interest will continue after a while. after 3 months, if it does, i’ll expand. lots of my fixations don’t make it that far i only ever expanded my shrine when i was plenty sure that my interest would stick!! and by december i still liked bill more than ever, and it was actually only until january the next year that i asked my parents to preorder nerd inferno because i was sure that my interest would last until april and lo and behold, it did! i remember being SO HAPPY when my nerd inferno copy arrived and i have it very well annotated now so yea. follow the 3 months rule so you won’t regret blowing your money in the future
