Myasthenia gravis(MG) is a condition affecting nerve signaling and muscle contraction from the brain to the muscle. Marlins MG is presented at birth, and was not developed before he was found. Cats that have mg show symptoms such as throwing up, difficulty swallowing, excessive drooling, changes in vocal noises, getting tired easily, collapsing, and weakness. Marlins MG is generalized, meaning all of his muscles are affected. MG is a condition where signals from the nerves to the muscles are disrupted, due to abnormalities in the muscle receptors that respond to nerve signaling. Dysfunction of the muscle receptors prevents normal muscle contraction.
