Sangrian forces meet their first major resistance from the Starrians. On the outskirts of Starria City, a large militia group ambushed and surrounded the 78th Mobile Assault Platoon and a portion of the 124th Combat Mounted Armored Cavalry Regiment, slaughtering 271 Sangrians and slowing down the entire offensive. The surrounded elements fought to their last, pinned by artillery and armed resistance from over 700 Starrians. It took 3 hours for reinforcements to arrive to relieve the remaining 72 Sangrians. "They fought like hell out there, I could hear them within the dust, trying to claw their way out of the rubble. May God find a place for those poor souls." -Captain Zeroliv Karo, 2035.
