God I love this trend so much. For context for those unaware of the lore behind the 9-1-1 series and these characters: Bucks’ parents were emotionally abusive to him when he was growing up and even when he left home and became an adult his parents refused to change their ways and treat him better. Buck never saw them as his real parents. Once he joins the 118 firehouse he starts to see his fire captain Bobby Nash as his real parental figure (this is referenced many times throughout the show so it’s basically canon at this point that they are like a family; I love found family y’all!) However Bobby dies tragically years later and after Bobby’s funeral Buck is surprised to find his biological father wanting to and I quote “know more about the man who raised my son.”. ;w;
