character development! oooh anyway Act I is before anything happens, hes just a regular archangel, doing judge of heck and king of heaven stuff idek and bascially hes at his prime. Act II Gabriel is after he gets beat up like really badly by a certain girl with and angel killing knife. He steals a piece from said knife and the battle technically ends in a stalemate, but he gets punished by the holy council who finally do something about Gabriel's dictator like authority, and he now has a week (compared to 24 hrs in UK) to live before his soul fades away, because once something gains the attributes of holy light, detaching them will start a process that ends in the victim literally stop existing, breaking apart at the molecular level and turning into dust. Act III, the final act, Gabriel, realizing hes got no chance to do anything, pulls a 1940s Germany on the council and basically says, "#### you guys, I'm leaving and going to spend the rest of my days sitting around doing nothing!" then he gets beat again and reflects on his life, then dies peacfully
