Hybrid features usually changed within series, whether by admin code, or by strong emotions. Some hybrids had permanent features, and others changed every new series. Lizzie had a cat tail in empires, and sea features before that. They had changed to fit her role. Gem grew deer antlers upon joining Hermitcraft. Grian had differently coloured wings within each new series. Nobody but him was quite sure why. Some had more subtle traits. The way Tango’s teeth were just a tiny bit too sharp, the way Pearl’s eyes seemed to glow in the dead of night, a hint that she might be not quite human. All the members of the Fairy Alliance had delicate fae wings during Last Life. Until Cleo burnt the fairy fort down. They stood on top of the fortress of burning trees, holding a bucket of lava, their new dragonfly wings shining with the light of the fire.
