The Armée Française has marched into the Empire that once bowed down to Lafonte's rule. The first battle, which contested Tours, saw French forces combat the Lafontennes using a frontal attack to pin the enemy's primary force against the Loire River, while a flanking swung around to effectively block their retreat, trapping them, and effectively pushing them into the river, delivering the French a costly, but major victory. Practically immediately following the victory that resulted in an enemy rout, cavalry was sent to pursue the retreating enemy, resulting in a clash near Orléans. The Lafontenne forces, unable to consolidate and regroup before contact, quickly broke once more, and retreated to Paris to restore cohesion to the depleted unit, and to supplement Paris' defenses if the advances of the French forces aren't contained. i know it seems lacklustre (no arrows absolutely everywhere), but this is a war against an NPC nation, so I wish to focus on how war would realistically be fought and narrative value over consistency, a player-v-player war with me would probably look different
