Karolei Karshola, Commander in Chief of the Sangrian Royal Army, steps up to the podium Infront of all the reporters. Following a signal from a clerk, the reporters begin bombarding him with questions. "One at a time!" another clerk yells from somewhere in the back. Eventually, the reporters' questions die down, and Karolei singles out one of them. "Speak." The reporter clears his throat, then after half a second, he speaks: "Sir, recent news from New Tundra suggests the emergence of a new strain of an unknown virus, and by the looks of it, a pandemic seems likely to ensue. Is the Sangrian Government currently taking steps to ensure the outbreak won’t reach Sangria?” The room is silent, for a moment, Karolei appears as a stone statue. Then he speaks. “Yes. The Sangrian Government is in fact enacting new measures to prevent the spread of this virus onto our communities. Starting March 15th, 2035, all travel through Sangrian air and sea ports from New Tundra will be denied, and any travel to New Tundra has been suspended until some semblance of quarantine measures have been implemented. Furthermore, all travel through our land borders will be monitored with specialized CBRN combat units, to ensure that the virus cannot enter our homes. Although we believe these methods are effective, there is a risk the virus may arrive here anyway. To avoid serious infection rates, Sangrians are advised to begin wearing protective masks and clothing and to avoid excessive contact with others, a minimum distance of 7 feet apart from each other has been recommended by the Sangrian Department of Health and Wellbeing. In the event that the arrow of death is to strike, Sangrians must have a raised shield.” The press conference will continue as usual, but most news stations will focus on the passage above, titling their stories; “A raised shield.”
