The Frontispiece is the crown jewel of the SCP Foundation, and the reason its recent drive in boldness have not lead to the Veil's complete collapse yet. Designated SCP-001-PMB, the Frontispiece comprises a recursive memetic complex implemented into Latin sequence S-C-P, which causes any and all sapient humans, alongside those with similar brain constructions, to be unable to affiliate the sequence with the SCP Foundation and related operandi. Put into motion since the 60s, when multiple government organizations across the world attempted to excommunicate the Foundation from the soil due to political exploitation, the Frontispiece has made it possible for the Foundation to produce Front Companies across the planet that are both recognizable to all personnel at a glance, and veiled to civilians & hostile operatives. Designated SCP-001-1, the Frontispiece has been similarly applied to the Foundation Logo. Both Scips are examples of Cryptomancy, a branch of thaumaturgy that dealt with anomalous application of symbology. The field was pioneered by the Mages Academy's "Schriftsteller", its descendants dismantled by the time of THE DAY. All SCP-001 media still retain the singular flaw allowing individuals familiar with the anomalous to see through their effects. The usefulness of this in the Foundation's capacity for cooperating with, say, the DAA or Pentagram, is offset by the potential for more aware groups to see through its facade. Attempts are underway to apply the memetic complex to nonhuman entities, as well as AGIs. As of now, extensions have been applied to the Dominilings & Seapeople, mostly through testing on Orcadians.
