[-] Unity of the Pacific Islands, Imperial Order 0024 [-] With the recent victory over Korea, the Imperial Diet of Korea has been disillusioned with the stance of traditional isolationism. Under decree of his Imperial Majesty, the Japanese Imperial Army has begun acting on the order to unify all Islands within the Pacific, namely those without proper governance. This category would include island chains such as Micronesia, Melanesia, Polynesia, and others. The "Island Hopping" doctrine is also adopted, allowing the Imperial Military to hop from one island nation to another within the matter of hours without confirmation from High Command. The goal of this order is to unify all of these tiny, irrelevant islands into a singularity under Japanese rule, considering that none of these islands have the capacity to defend themselves anyways. The Diet has argued that this is beneficial not only to Japan, but also to all of Asia, preventing foreign adversaries from invading these islands first without warning and potentially staging warfronts against the East. Examples of this have already happened with the unprovoked Indian invasion of Australia, and therefore prove that this act isn't without precedent. [-] Military Larp [-] As the operation begins, the Imperial Navy and Military would begin close collaboration, splitting off into 5 major battalions to conquer each individually governed island chain. A declaration of war is sent formally to each nation approximately one minute before each attack, upholding Japanese warrior culture and maintaining honor. At around 5 AM local time, ~23 IRBMs were launched from various naval assets, all targeting capital cities, major industrial areas, and large air bases. Civilian deaths were avoided to the greatest capacity possible. Shortly after these attacks, air superiority should be established shortly via close ground-air communication, with an international no-fly zone broadcasted minutes later. After air confirmation, hundreds of landing ships should begin naval invasions along each majorly populated islands coast, using LRADs during the landings themselves before planting a Japanese flag on major local government buildings and sweeping each village. The goal of this warfare is to work our way through each island as quickly as possible through a combination of missile strikes, quick sweeps, and island hopping. [-] Out-of-RP Justifications & Reasonings [-] Really no one is going to RP/sign-up as these nations due to their irrelevancy. Realistically, they also wouldn't have the means to defend themselves either considering that extremely small populations and economic output. It would clearly be more beneficial lore-wise to combine these islands under Japan, as they would actually become a governing body that would amount to something. This is also why I'm not asking for a mod to play these NPC nations, considering that it would be a waste of time when their combined population is below 300K. Dying ant vs Hydrogen Bomb situation.
