With permission from KittenGod, I have retconned my lore, I will proceed to rewrite here. Exceptions to this retcon include the "Gill Plague" and a few others, I think. SCROLL DOWN The Republic of Terra Australis, was formed in 2056, by the Vanguard Conglomerate, a union of several different corporations in different fields. This involved the union of companies like BlackRock, Lockheed Martin, and Palantir Technologies, Tesla, and among other powerful corporations, under the Council of 15. After "THE DAY", the need for a new home for the displaced millions. The solution was, Anarctica, also known as Terra Australis. Project Australis was launched, spearhead, by John Martin, an American business CEO, and member of the Council of 15. This project, was almost entirely funded by the Conglomerate, focused on gathering the many displaced peoples from across the world, mostly from East Asia, America, and Europe. The second phase, was the construction of "Boxed Cities", which are huge cities, that are enclosed by "Smart Domes" and supported by heliostats. Some of the material used for the smart domes, included Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene. The first of these cities was finally constructed and released by in December 31st, of 2056. The same day, the new, Republic of Terra Australis, was formed, the country adapted a democracy, influenced by the United States, and the Roman Republic. Soon, 7 other cities were completed, though smaller in size. The largest 3, includes Ambitio, the capital, Aquilonia, the second largest, and Aeternitas, the smallest of the three. The Republic, adapted a rome-like system. The Upper-class, are the Publicani, and the lower classes are the Plebeians. The government is led by the Consuls. One consul is required to be of representing the Publicani, and the other of the Plebs, to keep the power equal between the two. The Senate however, is dominated by the Publicani, who can pass laws here. But, the Tribunes of the Plebs, who represent the people, can veto laws that abuse the lower classes and bring issues into the Senate. Now covering the Legions, when a legion captures items of value, it automatically becomes State Property. But, a strict percentage is paid out as a bonus to the troops who took it, motivating men to follow orders and capture foreign equipment and such quickly. A law, part of the constitution, says that, a person holding high political office has to be or have been serving in the Navy or Exercitus (Army), You cannot dictate the state if you did not risk your life for the nation first.
