The idea of economics has been the single most important factor throughout the entirety of human history. Thanks to every nation having to fend for themselves, the systems used by countries since the dawn of the 21st century came under question in favor of a more domestic mass production system reminiscent of that of the Interwar Period. Austria-Hungary and technically Bavaria are a few of the leaders behind the new system. Thanks to their relative safety from the worst of THE DAY’S effects and more importantly being under the radioactive spread, the two states were able to develop. AH is heavily reliant currently on Hungary for its expansion in the industrial sector. While a majority of the expansion is Germanic Businesses thanks to the struggling state of Hungary prior to the unification, Austria has significantly less land to use for expansion. This doesn’t mean Austria is weak; it is most definitely the richest autonomy of the Union, relatively ahead of Bavaria and most definitely leading Hungary and Slovakia. Hungary being stuck in a low point and enclosed by mountain ranges, is flat and prime for industrial expansion. The National Council begins the passing of several economic reforms to aid in this growth. One being the dismantling of the fortresses from the former Swiss “National Redoubt” and using that to pave roads and providing concrete to newly constructed factories. The nation after the rebuilding period refurbished the rail network of Austria and soon after expanded into Hungary. Rails are treated as the most important pillars of modern nation building. Budai Nemzeti Vasúttársaság has emerged as a forerunner in the advancement of 1,435 mm rail across the union in an attempt to connect the economies of the nation more-so than simple roads do. The nation is closely watching the birth of the domestic industry, making sure that it isn’t being monopolized in any one way. This breaking of monopolies is to drive competition by the businesses as it drives expansion and development to best the competition.
