This is my formal logic proof attempting to show that the Calvinist doctrine of perseverance of the saints, or OSAS (once saved always saved), leads to having no assurance of salvation. I highly recommend full screen.
Sorry for it being rather sloppy, it was mostly stream of consciousness. Let me know if I missed anything or made any mistakes. Scroll down for simplified explanation: The general gist of this is that since OSAS requires the genuineness of one's salvation (which, if genuine, means one has faith and is saved and is elect) to be determined by future events (whether or not one falls away), and since those future events cannot be known, and because there is no difference between the fruit and motivations of someone who perseveres versus someone who does not, there is no way for one to know whether or not they are currently saved.
