“Are you serious?” I said. “I’m pretty sure about it, I was there,” he replied. I cleared my throat because it was very dry, and responded, “Wow, I didn’t know Kate likes you.” “I know, it’s pretty crazy. Ben’s trying to pry her away from me though,” said Finnegan. “Oh. So far, no one’s even been able to compete with me and Amelia,” I replied. Meanwhile, right while I was saying that, Amelia and Zack had returned from the soda run. “Hey, Joshy boy, I wanna show you something,” Amelia said as they put down the cans of soda. We went to my bedroom, and it became clear that she had been in my room, because everything looked organized as if my family had just moved or something. I took off my leather jacket and placed it on my bed. And, right as I turned around, she kissed me. Not the forehead, not the cheek, I mean the lips. I guess that meant we were a couple then. That was my first kiss, and she kissed me for about 15 seconds, then withdrew and said, “I love you.” We sat down on my bed that I’m still guessing that my mom or Amelia had tidied up, then she kissed me again, but it might’ve been for too long, because Finnegan and Marshall had opened the door, and we both immediately turned around to face them. “What… the… FRICK?” said Finnegan. “Hey, she likes me and I like her, so you can leave us alone,” I said. They closed the door very suspiciously, I locked it behind them and told Amelia, “So what? I love you.” She smiled and kissed me again, and we spent a good amount of time, probably about twenty minutes in my bedroom. We finally came out at around 8 pm, when only Finnegan, Kate, Marshall, and Ben were still at the house. However, things may have been suspicious, as I was holding hands as we came out of the door, and to think that Finnegan and Marshall saw us and could tell virtually anybody in the school scared me. “If you two even speak of this, so help me, I will,” I snapped at Finnegan and Marshall. Both held their hands up in surrender, also saying, “Ok dude, no problem."
