The impact the printing press had on the spread of information was important. First of all, it was easy to copy books if you used the printing press, as you do not have to manually write them over and over again. Second of all, more travel books, romances, and poetry began to be produced so that other people can read stories for entertainment or information, as well as they could be produced more cheaply and quickly. The average person also began to read books, which was not likely in the old times. This is because the printing press made copies of books much more efficiently. This is proved because the text says that "He printed more than 100 books in his lifetime," "Books could be produced more cheaply and more quickly than ever before," "Travel books, romances, and poetry began to circulate among the masses," and "For the first time, the average person had access to books."
