When Atlantis announced it's official declaration of war against the Antarctic Commonwealth. The Gibraltar Solstice began Operation Menorah due to: Closer access to the NAT, Expansionism, Using as a staging ground for North American affairs, and halt the "liberation" of Australia. The Union of Iberian Vega wants to curb Antarctic Successes... The planned invasion of the Antarctic Commonwealth and attempt knockout the homeland (Greenland and Svalbard) is a go ahead. In lae October 2112, the Coaltionary forces with national legions attack multiple areas at different times to divert attention from the Antarctic Commonwealth constantly to tire them out, using amphibious landings and airdrops to cause havoc in coastal defenses against the unprepared Antarctic soldiers whom were completely caught offguard by the sudden appearance of surfacing vessesl an soldiers storming out of them with Air, Naval, and tank support. Soon, many beachheads are established and supplies began flooding into these beachheads. When the Antarctic Government realizes the homeland has been invaded, Coalition forces on the beachhead are rapidly charging towards the western coast. The Vegan army's MBT, the Modelo 15E devastates defensive positions with it's fast speed, firepower and armor. The airforce which had been destroying arenals, factories, barracks, ships and airfields which prevented many of Antarctica's aircraft and warships from going into action. Atlantean forces whom have already disabled many ports and established a blockade prevents greenland from trade. AA placements in occupied territories and warship fleets also prevent trade by air. With the joined force of around 3 million troops began pincer attacks and encirclements, besieging large concentrations of Antarctic soldiers until they surrendered or were annihilated. Because of Greenland's small population and military size, it is unable to effectively fend off a much larger force. Unmanned devices are shot down by electronic barriers, interceptors, RDAA (Rapid Anti Air) and specialized anti unmanned weapons to destroy/neutralize these threats. Meanwhile, Italian and French troops made landings in the south and north with support from coalition naval armadas and airforces which obliterated many defensive complexes along the coast and disabled most of the eastern half's coastal defenses allowing for the coalitionary navy to wreak havoc on Greenland with little damage. However, there were some unexpected turnouts. Antarctic soldiers fought with suprising durability and refused to fold, taking more Coaltionary lives than expected. Antarctica also utilized drones and missles to destroy tanks and ships leading to dozens of ships and tanks destroyed as a result. However, Greenland is too far from their other locations to gain reinforcements or support from other Commonwealth territories and will succumb to the coalitionary hordes. When the dust settled, within 2 weeks of war, 1/3 of Greenland has turned red, the Eastern defenses weakened, Antarctica diverts troops from the West coast to support the Eastern flank, major ports have been captured and most of greenland's farmland has fallen to the Coatition.
