READ THIS BEFORE CLICKING THE FLAG <-------------- Explaining everything in-depth here in the instructions so you don't get super confused lol Note: These aren't in order of the slides, these are just things that I noticed! 1. I like your overall head shaping, however, I think it could be improved. A cat's muzzle isn't so narrow as all that, and the ear placement... I talk about that in the project, it'll need a visual as I once did the exact same thing lol 2. I like how you have a good sense of shape distinction, although your art would look a lot less unconnected if you erased those lines between the legs and body. I would also recommend a second action, shown in the project. 3. Your body template could use some more shape. Cats in general are very fluffy, try adding little bits of floof in spots like the chest, shoulders and limb transitions, as well as along the chin! 4. I think your legs could be modified a portion to fit the flow of the body and seem more connected to it. I go more in-depth about this in the slides. 5. Think about how a cat's tail flows! Depending on their mood, a cat will have a near vertical tail when happy, a lashing or stiff, twitching tail when angry, and a bit of an angular L-curve for calmness. I provide some examples in the project! 6. I like how you draw the eyes! They look bored or even sleepy, though - think about how you can give them other expressions! 7. Color scheme! This I really love, most of your patternings and such are accurate according to basic genetics and anatomy, great job there! With some alterations based on what I told you, I think you could amount to be a much better artist in the space of a few years! This is an unofficial time length, of course - don't make your goal to have good art by 2030 or something like that! Instead, make it your goal to improve something each day. If you fail, you're still improving. You're aware of what you did wrong and how you would have changed that if you could, and that's improvement. Add up the days and things start to improve quickly :D
