After nearly a month, Barylon has created a bioweapon that punches holes in the cell membranes of the collective, and can rapidly assimilate a type of protein found in all of the Collective's cells, basically a super-prion for the whole Collective. A package of 10,000 super-prions are placed at each colony of the Collective, and they rapidly destroy tissue in a few minutes, rapidly expanding at relativistic speeds using the collective's bloodstream.
