★hey guys,I'm releasing this a day early because I have things to do tomorrow lol and I just want to say I am so happy and proud of how much TMB has grown,by the way this chapter will be a bit longer then most since its the final chapter of book one★ ╔∘ ★ ∘═══════════════╗ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Welcome back ╚═══════════════∘ ★ ∘╝ click the sprite... 【The Music Box 】 "The Blue one.it's the color of your eyes,Mei."Simon said,glancing at me with a firm nod"...alright then.blue it is."I breathed,giving Simon a small smile--as if I was trying to look confident but obviously failing--before I looked at the door,clutching my bat in my right hand and Simon's hand in the other as I took a step forward.i let go of Simon's hand to hold the bat like a weapon,opening the door with my shoulders tensed as it creaked open to reveal a bright pink clockwork room with pieces of the walls missing to show a bright blue sky.there was Miss clock,standing in the middle of the room with her back turned to us"We're uh...Here to defeat you,Miss Clock!"Simon said,shifting to stand in front of me like he was trying to protect me,though I was the one with the weapon.kinda stupid of him,but that's just Simon."I see...well,I am only looking for someone.i only want to...take revenge upon them.that's none of a children's business."Clock Woman murmured in that smooth and creepy glitched voice,finally turning to us "okay...well I don't give a damn,I just want to go home!...let me go home!"I said,glaring at her and raising my bat threateningly,even though I probably just looked like a growling Chihuahua with this stupid dress and the pastel blue color of the bat. just then,the announcer speaker things came on again"oh,that's funny.your so feisty,Mei!it makes you look cute."the voice from before said"Shut up!Come out from were you're hiding,Coward!!!"I shouted,my gaze dashing around the room to try and spot were the voice could've been hiding.just then,my mind went completely blank and foggy,my eyes drained of their vibrant blue color and my face stilled.it felt as if my body didn't belong to me anymore."haha,you act so scary and threatening,when in reality,i can control your little bones with a wave of my hand!Not so brave now,Are you,Mei Mei?"the voice purred.i froze.that's...what my mom and dad used to call me before mom died.i can still remember the beautifully smooth and gentle aspect of her voice,just barely though."Hey-Mei!Mei!Snap out of it,please,c'mon!"Simon begged with an uncharacteristic panic in his voice,but I couldn't move at all.before I could even try to blink,my limbs moved on their own and I took a step forward to Miss Clock"...you wanted to escape,Yes?okay then.I'll let you go.you seemed so eager to hit Miss Clock here with the little toy bat of yours...so i'll let you have the satisfaction."the voice said with a chuckle that sounded like a maniac from a horror movie.just then I found myself sprinting at Clock Woman with the bat,and I hit her with it.for a moment,everything froze.nothing was moving,not Simon,not me,and not Miss Clock.suddenly,I found myself in the field from before with the bright blue sky and perfectly green grass.in front of me was a very light blue thorn apple flower.a few seconds passed before everything went black. GASP!!! ...I was...awake again.i was sitting up in my bed,the only sounds I could hear were my fan and my father on the phone pacing in the hall outside my room,almost 100% with someone work related.he paused,having heard my gasp."...Mei?sweetie,are you alright?"he asked.my heart seemed to stop.if everything in that vivid dream thing was real...then...that would mean my father had killed my best friend,and who knows how many others."...uh...yeah,yeah,dad I'm fine."I said,my voice a little shaky"alright then."he replied as he continued talking to the person on the phone.What just happened?why did it feel so real?why am I suddenly now remembering Simon existed?did he even exist in the first place?...is my...dad a murderer...? ★★★ ★★ AHHHHH THAT WAS THE END OF CHAPTER EIGHT,THE FINAL CHAPTER OF BOOK ONE!!!
