NOT AN EXPANSION PROJECT With the recent "end" of the civil war, Auvued's government has authorised the reallocation of some of it's larger ships for exploratory missions, the largest of which being the southern expedition. [}{] SOUTHERN EXPEDITION [}{] Three Type-31 Escort Cruisers are fit with sensors and large amounts of supplies and sent south to investigate rumours of piracy in the area. Whilst no pirates are found we continue going south in the sake of exploration, eventually coming to a sort of crossroads in space where there is a large gap in hyperlanes. it was decided to go down the eastern path due to it being slightly closer to Kefeon. The cruisers would continue to push south, receiving resupplies from modified gunboats with their former ammo stores removed for cargo transport and continuing southwards until they began to receive odd transmissions. [}{] PRECURSOR TO CONTACT [}{] The destroyers would hold position after first receiving these transmissions, initially they believed it was the pirates they had initially been searching for but upon intercepting a couple more and doing more looking into them, they found it was in an unknown language. Several of Auvued's best linguists and those who took part in first contact with Acamaer (the two groups overlaping quite a bit) are brought onboard alongside a specialised sensor ship which intercepts as many signal as possible allowing the linguists to try and decipher the language. one of the cruisers then moves south until it encounters a mysterious ship not of Acamarian or Auvedi design principles and attempts to hail it using what little of their language we know. your move metroid.
