Hello friends! Before we begin, I want to give each and everyone one of you a warm welcome to this new story. It’s a new day for our dearest estelle! Just ignore [REDACTED], he’s a little grumpy because he had to “save” Estelle from the watchers this time! But he’s a sweetheart…really…I wish I could tell you who I was, but I can’t yet… she refers to me as the goddess, you can do that too! Well- sit back and enjoy the ride friends! (Star chapter one: Strange New Voices) “You are free…” “You are nothing.” The word spoken to me by faceless gods, twin souls without form…And I have no clue who they are. I sit up, tucking both pairs of wings neatly behind my back. I find myself in the threshold of a palace, made of glossed and chiseled quartz, and pale stone. Pillars provide stability.. “Where….am I?”my curiosity, like this place, is overwhelming… “The inbetween, Estelle. My domain,” the god who proclaimed me as nothing said…what? “Stand up, child,” the goddess said, her voice soft and gentle, and I do stand. Wondering what I’m free from. “Your time here is..limited. If you don’t make it out…you’ll be like them.” I turn and see a faceless being wondering aimlessly without purpose…it’s..scary. How did I get here? Why- do I feel pain? Everything is dull and hurting and- “Start walking” the god cuts me off. “What?” I ask, confused, “where? How long till I’m- trapped?” “You have until the twin suns sink- around five hours if you will.” The goddess says. “Look for gates lined with gold..it won’t take you long” So I start walking. And I keep walking. For an hour. ————————— I find them. The gates…they’re..beautiful. Golden trim around the doors…breathtaking. “Congratulations Estelle..you did it.” The goddess says, I’m impressed with your work. Step through to your new life, child.” And I step through to the blinding light beyond.
This concludes the chapter…I can’t believe “the goddess” wants us to do this. And we can’t even tell you who we are because then you might tell her! Ugh…mortals. I don’t understand her intentions…well, if you wish to read more of this “story”, stick around. It’s a long one to tell.
