☆ RiverSong's Requiem ☆ A song left unfinished A melody unsung A note cut short A song that ended before its final verse The final dirge of a dying star ☆ RiverSong never thought she'd die so soon. But as she sank beneath the waves, she felt the fight leaving her body. They'd warned her. They said "Don't go that far!" they told her "Don't swim with your leg in that condition!" But did she listen? No. Like Icarus, like the fool, she let her ambition and desire overpower her better judgement. Now she would lose her kits, lose her love, she never truly got to tell GiltReverie how she felt, but she hoped he would read her note that she'd left alongside her seashell necklace in the medic den. She had half known that this would be the end of her journey, so she'd left her accessories and gifts in the medic den and hoped WolfsbaneWhisper, her friend, could get them to who they belonged to. She would miss her kits. Dearly. But she knew UrchinClan would take good care of them. As she sank beneath the waves of the great ocean, she felt at peace. She would join her wonderful Peanut, or so she hoped. She wondered where the afterlife would take her. She didn't want to shine amongst the stars, nor join her mother in the depths of the Dark Forest...so where would she go? She didn't want to think about it. Down, down, down, she sank. The welcoming undertow pulled at her fur, or was it her spirit? As the minnows swam around her. She felt her mind begin to dull as her eyes drifted. Down, down, down...darkness. The waves roared, a final, fading requiem for a soul gone silent... ☆ Yeahhhh RiverSong died. She fought FreckleSerenity and got a major, taking out use of her leg, and the medic den's rolls weren't so kind. But that wasn't poetic enough for River so I'm going with the drowning story lol. But yeah, she's gone unfortunately. But I'll be back in Generations soon, as her daughter, DayBreakKit If anyone wants to draw a thumbnail I'm looking for something to do with her sinking into the ocean, maybe some minnows or bubbles swirling around her, idk lol. Very peaceful and ethereal vibes though
