i think this might be the first time i've draw and posted still art on scratch ＼(°o°)／ aaanyways, this is my oc derek! he's one of my favorite ocs. i'll put his lore in notes ᕙ(＠°▽°＠)ᕗ
ok so derek used to be a famous model and actor named malakai. his life was pretty cool since he was famous. one day, a heartian missionary tries to recruit him. he refused. ever since that day, the cult had spied on him. one day, while he's on his way back to his apartment, a mercenary for the cult tracked him down and ripped his eye out. he was extremely paranoid after that. after after that, the recruiter came back and said that if he didn't join they'd do worse. horribly afraid of whatever else could happen, he reluctantly obliged. after that, he left his modelling life behind and moved into cult grounds. he refused to let any of their cult propaganda brainwash him, but he refused to leave. after a year or so, the protector (word for god in my oc world) they were worshipping grew into power and started an armageddon. luckily, eris (the protector) was defeated and the world went back to normal. unluckily, malakai was scarred for the rest of his life. after the armageddon, he moved into dangerzone, dyed his hair, and changed his name to derek. he also became extremely elvinian (other religion mainly followed in new eldenburg, which is where he's from) because he believes he'll be safer that way. the cult still tracks him down, so that's why he's in hiding. also, when eris was defeated, only a small sliver of it wasn't sent into the voidbox (place they put eris into after defeating it) and it latched onto derek. it's powerless since the rest of eris is trapped in a box that entirely blocks out its power, but it haunts and heckles derek nonetheless. derek is also extremely dry, easily irritated., and paranoid now. his least favorite color is purple. he likes cats, sunsets, philosophy, and drinking a hot drink in the winter. he has two best friends named johnny and utsukushi, who i'll probably draw soon. ᕙ(＠°▽°＠)ᕗ
