The next day, social media exploded as it appeared that someone had snapped a pic from the peephole. I ended up seeing the post, ‘Josh + Amelia, I called it’ by ‘Enroht Nimajneb.’ That name seemed very suspicious until I figured it out. The name ‘Benjamin Thorne’ is backwards. Also, only a kid named Benjamin Thorne would bully me in this fashion. I tracked Ben down after school, and he said, “What are you doin’, short king?” “Delete it. Now,” I snapped. “I really don’t know what the hell you’re talking about,” he said, “What would I have done?” I guess I couldn’t quite manipulate the dumb-as-paint mind of Benjamin Thorne just yet, as he was lying at this exact point in time. “You know what, Enroht Nimajneb,” I replied. “Oh, right, that. I can’t. It’s too good to be deleted,” he remarked. “Delete it now or I will get Kate on you,” I yelled. The thought of Kate possibly turning on Ben seemed to both enrage and scare him, so he said, “Ok, man, no worries.” He lowered the phone to where I could see it and deleted the video right in front of my eyes. Demanding he do it gave me a sense of vindication and now I could live care-free. END OF CHAPTER FIVE
