This is not a vent, this is me sincerely asking these people to leave me alone, because I truly cannot do this anymore. I have been getting a lot of hate and harassment on Scratch lately. I have had people getting mad at me because of certain fandoms I'm in and certain posts, I've had people hating on me for being part of the LGBTQ+ community, I've even had someone come onto my account just to get mad at me for complimenting a mask that someone in the Scratch therian community made. I am saying that I have had enough. Some people just come onto my account, hate for a bit and then leave, I either delete or report whatever they posted depending on what it was, but a few of you aren't like this. I've had people report me and I've removed all of the content that was reported, including my pfp, but you still won't leave me alone. If you have a problem with something I post, please do not hesitate to tell me, just contact me privately in my account's comment section. But some of you continue to troll my account and are harassing both me and my followers. I am generally a fairly nice person and I tend to give a lot of chances, I have told many of you many times that I understand and that of course I will ensure that everyone feels welcome on my account, even you. But my account is meant to be a safe place, and if you are coming onto my account just to harass people, then I do not condone this. Some of you I have already told, but at this point I will not hesitate to report your comments because fine, you can mess with me, but I will NOT allow you people to be cruel to my followers, it is that simple. Especially if I ask you many times to leave my account alone, if you are not listening then why shouldn't I report you. Please, none of you comment on this post, I will immediately delete or report it, depending. None of what I report is false reporting, reporting disrespectful, harmful comments that you decided to post on MY account, is not false reporting. Also, before any of you protest that what you are doing is not harassment then here is the definition of digital harassment: Digital harassment is the repeated, unwelcome targeting of a person online to bully them for their identity, interests, or beliefs, or to intentionally disrupt and troll their account and followers. Forms of digital harassment that I have had to experience because of you all: Identity based harassment, brigading, proximity harassment, targeted trolling, etc. Examples to support my claims: 1. Identity based harassment: People targeting me specifically for being part of the LGBTQ+ community and for being associated with the therian community. 2. Brigading: Multiple people repeatedly flooding my account, posts, and profile with negative and hateful comments. 3. Proximity Harassment: Attacking the people who interact with me and/or follow me simply because they are associated with my account. 4. Targeted Trolling: Intentionally posting inflammatory, rude, or cruel comments just to get a reaction out of me and followers.
For my followers and supporters: Thank you all so much for supporting me while this and other things have been happening, I needed it. I now have a proposal. Yes, I am aware that it is unlikely for this to actually go anywhere but I still want to put this petition out there. I believe that Scratch should have a built in way to block other Scratchers from entering your account or your projects, similar to some social media platforms. I know this would go a long way to prevent things like this continuously happening to people. Please remix and sign if you are in support. If you remix I will add your name to the list below. Please ST, if someone reports this and you see it, please just ask me to remove it, I will, but please take this into consideration. I have been reporting these people but they don't stop and I don't like feeling scared to even open my messages and this isn't fair. I'm sure suggestions like this have been given before and ignored but I'm just asking it to be reconsidered. We should at least have to ability to request it and give evidence as to what is happening, you can review it and see whether it is called for. Just please, Scratch is supposed to be a safe place but some people won't let it be that and it's hurtful to so many people.
