Don't mind me and my strange addiction to children's lullaby music... Song: The Last Unicorn By: Kenny Loggins For RoyalRook's contest Story: An elderly lion rests its weary bones by what probably was a fountain centuries ago. Now, it's just a crumbling block of stone. You look up at the large, pale yellow moon as an eagle swoops by what once was called a mountain. Along with the fountain, the mountain is crumbling to dust, along with every single thing in this darn world. The eagle's wing covers the moon for a second, blacking out the world. You sigh. This will be the last of this world. Earth. That's what they called it before the future came. Humans were dominant, the elders say. You can't believe that now. Now, with the world plunging twoards nothingness, You and the rest of the human population-only a handful- climb onto the ship. You take a second to look back at your ancestor's home, Your home. You see something moving on the shore. Squinting, you can just make out a unicorn. She smiles and whinnies. You wave to the beautiful sight just as the unicorn dissapears. The Last Unicorn.
