She was born a pegasus to a high-society socialite in Cloudsdale, who abandoned her as a baby by simply dropping her, leaving her to raise herself on the streets of Ponyville. When she was 12, she found a foal, Seashell, whom Pacifica adopted as a sister. When Seashell was 7 and Pacifica was 15, Seashell froze to death in a great blizzard. Pacifica hated cold weather from that day on. She flew over the ocean, searching for a place to live. She stumbled upon the the kingdom of Oceana, whose princess had disappeared long ago. Pacifica restored the island and ruled in peace.
