Arrow Keys - walk Space - talk when touching Hollyleaf. Hollyleaf's dialogue is set to switch to the next costume automatically after a certain amount of time. I did this after trying to make the dialogue work correctly for hours, and this was the only way to do that.
NOTE: I have new sprites now. Credit for the use of these sprites is no longer required. However, you still cannot claim them as your own work. So after creating a new sprite for Hollyleaf and tinkering around with scripts, I finally finished the next test project for my upcoming Warriors RPG. This will likely be the last project for a while, because after this I'm going to start creating sprites for all of the non-playable characters and making backdrops for the game itself. In this project, you're playing as Lionblaze. Talk to Hollyleaf and she will mention that she wants to go hunting with you. Say yes, and she will join your "patrol." You are not actually going hunting with her. This is just a demonstration of how she will walk alongside you when she's part of your patrol. I decided to create this sort of character interaction for the purpose of putting patrols together when the finished game comes out, but the script itself will need some work before it works without complications. ------------------------------------------------- BUGS: - Press "a" outside of dialogue (like I accidentally did), and Hollyleaf will join your patrol without talking to you. The click sound effect will also play. Just try to avoid doing that. - If you press space while facing right while Hollyleaf is hunting with you, she will start to talk to you again. It doesn't happen if you're facing any other direction for some reason. Definitely something to look into. - The click sound effect does not work properly if you are using headphones. -------------------------------------------------- NOTES: - This project does not contain the sitting animation like the one before it did. I have created sitting animation for Hollyleaf, though. Just saying that so you don't try to make Lionblaze sit down. - Because there are still some scripts I'm trying to figure out, I referenced Darkthehedgehog's AfterDoom 3.0 project for a few scripts.
