Press space! Name: Flamefur Clan: Thunderclan Backstory: Flamefur is the son of the Thunderclan deputy, Lightningheart, who died shortly after he was born. Flamefur's mother was Cloud, a loner who joined the clan for a while, but was killed in the same battle that took the Lighningheart's life. He was raised by Foxtail, a Thunderclan queen. Though Foxtail was kind and soft to her own kits, and treated Flamekit the same, she always regarded Flamekit as a nuisance, and a burden. Her own kits bullied Flamekit, and taunted him. How they met: One morning, after Flamepaw was made an apprentice, Foxtail's children were bullying him again, jumping on top of him and batting his face. He threw them off and ran into the apprentice's den, where he was surprised to find a small, golden she-cat grooming herself. "Well hello there!" She said. "What's your name?" "F-Flamepaw..." "My name's Songpaw." The pretty golden she-cat said. "Why were you running?" "I-I was..." Flamepaw was broken off mid-sentance as Foxtail's three children charged into the den. "Well, if it isn't little dirtblood!" The largest one, Emberpaw said, reffering to Flamepaw's rouge blood. "Leave him alone!" Sounded a voice behind Flamepaw. He turned around to see Songpaw arching her back, fur fluffed up and claws unsheathed. "WHAT did you say?" A bright yellow she-cat, another of Foxtail's children said, stepping forwards. "I said LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!" Songpaw hissed, leaping at the bright yellow she-cat, who Flamepaw remembered was named Sparkpaw. Songpaw landed her paws squarely on Sparkpaw's face. Songpaw was just about to strike back, when a large gray tom bowled her over. This was Frostpaw, the biggest. Frospaw growled and raised his paw to strike Songpaw, just as he himself was flipped onto his back by Flamepaw. Songpaw had just saved him. He wouldn't watch them hurt her. He raised his paw and struck it against Frostpaw's face. Each one of Foxtail's children growled, just before reluctantly backing out of the den. "Thanks" Songpaw was standing beside Flamepaw now, and she was smiling with the beauty and happiness of a greenleaf's day. "Thank YOU." Flamepaw said. he didn't want to know what Emberpaw might have done to him if Songpaw wasn't there. "Want to grab some food from the fresh-kill pile?" Sonpaw asked. "Sure." Answered Flamepaw. They padded out of the den, a little closer together than usual. ----------------------------------The End------------------------------------
