I've been making versions of this fraction representation microworld since teaching with Logo in the 1980's. The idea is to use the fraction blocks in conjunction with repeat blocks in order to represent expressions like 3 x 1/4 ... or 9 x 1/3 ... or whatever. It's a great way to get kids exploring ideas of multiplying fractions, fractions less than one, fractions greater than one, and equivalent fractions.
