Watch and enjoy the timeline of Rosa Parks life.
The name of the book for my book report is "Who was Rosa Parks" by Yona Zeldis Mcdonough, For my book report I made a timeline on Scratch and I show you that in a little bit. Rosa had brown skin, black hair, and wore glasses. She was also kind to the people around her but, wasn't a push over to the people rude to her Rosa is a really important figure to the Civil Rights Movement, she was one of the many people who got attention from the public to see how black people were treated. Rosa was arrested for not giving her seat on the bus to a white person. She didn't think it was fare for black people to sit in the back of the bus or, move when a white person wanted their seat.(do you think it was fair?) So, she told every black person in Montgomery to walk instead of taking the bus. It was called the Montgomery Bus Boycott. If everyone walked instead of taking the bus the bus companies would realize that black people were really important to the company, and deserve to be treated equally. At the 60th anniversary of Rosa's Boycott President Obama said Park's refusal" was the simplest of gestures, but her grace, dignity, and refusal to tolerate injustice helped spark a Civil Rights Movement that spread across America."
