Mythical isn't a retired character. She still plays an important role in the story, as a reaper who can take the souls of anyone within her pack, and can walk among the mortals herself, though she prefers to watch from a distance now. Anyone she kills becomes a reaper. She herself died, because The Dark One was able to overthrow her. Radar was upset, and Mythical decided to kill him, so they could be together, and Radar was actually happy she had done what she did.
