Jealousy Dustclaw fell from the sky as he tried to escape the grips of Whitefoot's angry claws. His tired wings thrashed at the air. He needed to find a medicine cat, a high branch. The blood trickled from his neck, staining his beautiful gray pelt. He felt tired, Whitefoot hissed and cackled, " You stole her love from me!". Dustclaw faintly heard this voice off in the distance. His life flashed before him, his loving mother, his brave father, a father, HIS KITS! He needed to live! He flapped his wings, he wasn't high enough. Whitefoot pounced, claws unsheathed. Dustclaw plumeted into the water. "Mouse brain!" Whitefoot taunted as Dustclaw struggled to escape the wet death. Apprentice. When he was an apprentice he had fell under this icy spell. That time luckily another apprentice trailed behind her mentor slugishly. She heard the splashing and dove. Raineyes. He felt bad leaving her to raise the kits. He struggled then Whitefoot bit his spine. He howled in pain, using all the strength he had hoping some cat would hear him. But the roll of thunder was too loud. Water. Emptiness. Then bright. The moon. It controlled the high tides of the ocean. Welcome a voice said. I know you left much behind. But you are safe now. With MoonClan.
