If the project isn't loading, here's the story, if you're interested: ✴ Info + Backstory: Name: Coren Faction: Sapphire Age: 13 Coren's mother was tested Amethyst, but she chose to stay in the city. Ruby was her choice, but when she gave birth to Coren, the baby's eyes were faded violet. Coren's mother was very fearful and was glad to be rid of her when Coren was taken away. Because of her eyes she was mocked and bullied. But an girl about six years older than her, Elsi, stood up for her and named her Coren. When Coren tested Amethyst, as well, she decided to stay and live with Elsi, who had chosen Sapphire. ✴ Story: I sat up from the cold, hard bed, my breathing shallow and labored. My Tester looked down at me through green eyes, her blue dress bright in the light of the lamp. As I slid down from the bed, the Tester gripped my arm and pulled me out of the room. "Your tested faction is in need of explaining," the Tester's clipped voice rang out in the empty hallway. I panicked. Elsi hadn't said anything about this! Something was wrong with me! I knew I wouldn't come out of this like everyone else. I'd be chained away from society, away from Elsi. I couldn't let that happen. But I let the Tester drag me down the hallway, too weak to do anything against her. We stopped in front of a wide door, and the Tester placed an ID card over the keyhole. The small beep that sounded only made my fear grow bigger and bigger. The Tester pushed me inside, and as I stumbled around for my balance, my eyes adjusted to the brilliant lights of the room as opposed to the dim hallway. A woman stood there with her back to me, a brown plait tumbling over one shoulder. She turned just as the door creaked shut. My breathing was heavy and labored in my dry throat. She took a deep breath. "You have been chosen for a faction that wasn't Ruby, or Emerald, or Sapphire. was... Amethyst. These people, they are hidden from the topside world. You still have a choice, but consider this in your decision. You will be charmed if you stay, so no one will know what you know. But you will still be here, and you will still see the people that you knew... before. I will show you an Amethyst representative, and then you will decided if you want to stay or if you want to go under. Remember when you make your decision, you tested particularly strong for Amethyst." I didn't need an Amethyst representative to show me what Amethyst was like. I didn't care if it was heaven. I had made my decision ever since Elsi had chosen Sapphire. "I'm staying here." I announced.
