Because people wanted to know how to art. Okay. I'm not very qualified. I'm, like, 12. I don't know what I'm doing. But since people were asking I was like: ehhh, may as well. Notes: 1) Look up colour wheels online! See what sort of colours work together rather than randomly choosing colours. You can have complementary colours next to each other, however I'd suggest making one or both of them less saturated so it isn't painful to look at. 2) Sketching is important. Don't worry if it's messy because nobody will see it! It also gives you a chance to figure out the way the body works by splitting it into simple shapes (eg. the messy waving guy sketch has the head, the chest, the waist and the hips, as well as the bends in the arms broken down into simple shapes). 3) Shifting hue in shadows and highlights was make your drawing seem more colourful. I'm not saying to change a blue to a pink in the shadows, but moving slightly towards another colour (Often the colour of the area the character/object's in) can really help make the subject blend in the with BG. 4) I'm not saying go to pure black and white for shading/highlighting (Though you can if you want) but if it's nighttime, the shadows are gonna be dark. And if there's lightning that night, it cast a bright light onto the character. Seriously, lightning is almost blinding to look at. If you want to hear about something, please do ask in the comments about it. I'd be happy to include it if I have enough knowledge on the subject!
